I have a 04 Yukon XL I have 2657017 and I want to go wider to 2857017.... will I be ok without a lift kit?

You can for sure go 275 I don't know about 285 it might rub at full lock of the wheel

That would be kinda pushing it, you would have to do a wee bit of trimming for that.
