gonna custom fiberglass my doors in my tahoe. gonna start building the doors next week.
right now im thinking about every door having dual 6.5's and 1 nx5 tweeter. front and back doors
do you think its enough, overkill or not enough?
i'll be running 2 FI BTL-N2 15s fully loaded with around 3000rms each)

just wanna be sure my mids/highs keep up with ease

thats whats up. i have some decent speakers now.. $250+ a pair but imo they suck. the freaking 6.5's have 3inch coils yet always crap out with a hpf at 60 or 80hz.
the crossover have messed up many times and overall they were never loud enough for me.

i just ordered my clarion eq and im gonna run pro audio mids with nx5 tweeters (best thing pa ever put their names on)
i think ima do dual 6.5's in the front but only 1 pair in the back. i think that will hold up well and if it doesnt then i'll add another pair in the back.

They should keep up like a champ. My one set of fosgate 6.5's scream with my 2 18" BTL's.

what are you running T1s or T2's

T1's I love em. I need another pair for the rear, but I think in my future I'll have 2 sets up front and one in back like your planning.

If youre gonna go through the work anyway.. run a paper cone 8 then your 6.5/ tweet.. it will play alot lower than the 6 and pulp speakers are SOOO much more warm and analog than composites ... if you REALLY wanna be sexy run paper 8s/composite 6.5s/titanium 3s and silk tweets.. imo.. the best set of truck doors i have EVER heard.. you dont have to go as bat shit with the rear doors.. just stage them nice.. but that front door setup is ******* HEAVEN

I run 2 sets of RF Prime 6.5 comps and they will pierce your ears. They're about to be on a RF 4.6x... Have you thought of running any 6x9s under the seats or side of the console. I love how they sound

If you're going through the work to 'glass a new set of panels, I'd go with a 3-way set with a mid-bass driver, mids, and tweets in the front door. This will give you more room to play with frequency division between the separate drivers and better sound quality.
