So I've had my 96 tahoe for a good while now (month or so) and I've seeing working it back into shape. Or so i thought...... I developed a coolant leak after replacing the radiator upper hose. Well it still leaks but now its dripping off the starter so Im thinking the dreaded rear freeze plugs so Im thinking while its out why stick the tired old 350 back in it. What's a fairly easy swap into these obs tahoes? Im thinking 6.0 or something with either more power or a refreshed 350 or anything lol. Any ideas?

Yes you can i would go with a 383 stroker but to save you dont go with S&J engines. My friend and i have a 383 stroker and a 350 and all we have had is problems.

Those are just the ones based on the old school 5.0/5.7 that I know you missed ...

If a 454 fits a 396/427 would fit ... bet a 402 would fit ... then we got the "W" engine family ... 454's bored are 468, they can be bored and strokedup to 490something ...

Like I said there are literally 100 options AT LEAST ...

Should we start counting?

3800
4.3
305
327
350
383
400
454

4.8
5.3
6.0
6.2
8.1

6.2 dizzle
6.5 dizzle
duramax dizzle

That's all I can think of.
