So I am in the process of cleaning and painting the frame, cleaned it up, used rusty metal primer did two coats, gonna top coat with two coats of gloss black, then was gonna put some spray on undercoating on top so picked up some rust-oleum undercoating coating tried it on a peice of metal and when dry it's still tacky even 24hrs latter is there and undercoating that isn't like that?

Check out eastwood products. It comes in aerosol cans and is very easy to use. I just did mine. I wore wheeled the whole frame then sprayed the textured rust encapsulate paint. used 4 cans

The OTC 3M stuff is OK, a little pricey, but works well and is commonly easily gotten.

If you're in the snow belt (with the metric tons of salt they throw), figure a decon-clean, and a overhaul spray once a year to fend off the turds that will plague the undersides.

I will never buy anything "Rustoleum". Seems everything they sell-market is crap.

Eastwood makes some good stuff. Here at the shop we use a 3M rubberized undercoating. I can get you the PN tomorrow. Works very well and looks very clean

Eastwood has one with a rust converter in it. I used it and like it. Everywhere I used it over por 15 it is still holding up well.
