I just got a 2007 LT Tahoe 2wd. It is white with gray leather. Low miles. Dual rows of captains chairs plus the third row. Non-bose with what appears to be the basic stereo that actually sounds pretty decent so far. It was owned by a very long time family friend who is older and just drives his cars and is not an enthusiast.

I have some issues with the exterior and hope to get some guidance. I have been searching and found some answers.

1) basically all 4 door handles are peeling very badly. They are oem and painted white. I found a full set of oem chrome handles on eBay but I am not sure that is the way I want to go. So is it better to try and find a set of white handles somewhere or get a set unpainted and get them done at a body shop? (Which I have to get some paint done anyway. See below). Rather fix it with the most longevity fix. If there is a better source than eBay etc please let me know.

2) He had a small tray in the reciever on the back that he used to carry a electric wheelchair/cart. I guess he ran into some things and the rear bumper cover has a few gouges and scratches so I think it is best to just replace it. I found a thread that talked about going to the LTZ version which I may do. I looked the parts up on gm parts site. A little hard to tell which parts carry over between the two versions. But I am sure there is a thread somewhere that details it. But short of the escalade bumper cover with the exhaust cutouts, is the LTZ the one to go with???? I assume it is in order to get the ability to use the hitch cover which I would like.

3) the front has a couple little spots. I may just buff them out and see how ther look but if I decide to change things up, are there differences in the LT and LTZ front bumper covers? Is there anything else to change to to improve the look? Like maybe getting rid of the front plate inset area?

Other than that, there are a few dings that I am going to try and get fixed by a paintless dent guy. If they can't fix them I will have to get paint on the doors as well.

Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
