Hey guys,

Picked up some wheels today for the Z71...but no tires, yet.

I got 20x9 +14 offset Fuel Throttle in Black/Machined.

My Z71 is NOT leveled/lifted, and I'd rather not have to trim anything. The wheels have a +14 offset. Can I get away with a 305/55R20?

Is there another tire that is maybe slightly taller, but not as wide?

I'd prefer an all terrain, not mud terrain (it's my wife's daily driver, and don't want the road noise).

The Z71 is a 4x4 model, and it WILL see some use on the local beaches during the summer...so a decent tire for sand would be preferable. For the record, I'm not a huge fan of the Dune Grappler. I have used the Terra Grappler in the past and would use it again.

Any input appreciated! Hopefully I will have pics to share before too long!

I would say Terra Grappler...but not sure on the size. I am currently studying offset too. I kinda have a hankering for a different look as well!

SW CT,
With no level/lift kit you will not clear 305/55's Actually with that offset you will have to stick with as close to stock size as you can. So something like 275/55, 305/50, 285/55 etc.

And if I level it, will the 305\55 fit?

What is going to rub, and is it something I can trim?

Thanks
Shawn

Even if you level it the 305/55/20 will still not fit. Someone tried to do that setup not too long ago on here and it still rubbed. I got 305/50/20 terra grapplers on my avalanche on stock height and it rubs in reverse at full lock.

Nice rims. I have the new BFG rugged terrains T/A. I must say they are sum sweet tires. All almost every time I fill up some 1 alway's asking about them.

Is the rubbing issue in the width of the 305? Or the height?

I wouldn't mind going with a more narrow tire with a little more height...I'd actually prefer a 285 or 295, with a 60 aspect sidewall...

Stock is 285 so my guess is the 305 width is what is causing the rubbing. I wanted a wider tire bc it looks more aggressive ;)
