I swapped out my wifes 18" wheels for factory 20" wheels on her 2008 Yukon. The wheels came off a 2007 Yukon. So I'm guessing something is different about this. Any suggestions on what needs to be replaced, how much, and if this needs to be done by a shop or can I do it

You need to reset the TPMS sensors (assuming the wheels you put on there actually has them). If not, they need them and will need to be reset so that the computer can communicate with them.

^^^. What he said. They need to be reset to communicate with your vehicle.

Jay if you don't know how to do it yourself, go to any decent tire shop and they have a little handheld machine to do it ... I usually tip the guy ten bucks and he does it for me in five minutes.

Btw, the instructions for doing it yourself is in your owner's manual.

Where to get the sensors I need for the valve stems if there aren't any? If so aren't they different for '07 and '08 models?

The 20s that came off the Yukon are they GM oem wheels?

If they are they should have the tpms already in them and all you need is to reset the computer.

Yes. They came off a 2007 Yukon that the owners bought brand new. It had 67k miles

Ok so I'm pretty certain the sensors are there and just need to be reprogrammed ... either follow the instructions in your owner's manual or do as I do and have a tire shop with handheld machine do it. :waytogo:

This is from my truck but it will be the same for yours if you want to do it yourself (starts page 5-24): http://www.gm.ca/media/owners/manuals/2009_Chevrolet_Tahoe_GMC_Yukon_Hybrid_Manual_en_CA.pdf
