I routed mine underneath the dash and wired it onto the metal on the inside of the door. When you open your car door its mounted on the metal thats on the hood side. Just make sure the door doesnt hit the antenna when you close the door. Its one of those make 1/2 inch highth by 1 inch length. Its fits perfect in there hidden away and grounded. I hope this helps. That is on my Bonneville GXP and on my Yukon XL Denali I ran the wire underneath the dash and ran the wire through the fuse box and brought it up and mounted it on my front dash with the metal sticky mount and it magents to it on the dash, Both are alpine GPS.

on your truck you can pop up the panel all the way toward the windsheild on the dash. there will be a flat area near the center. i just use some double sided tape and put the the ant there.

Do you have a picture of this? I'm having a hard time picturing it. So it's completely hidden in the door? How is the signal?
