H pipe or x pipe??

Seeing if anybody on here runs a hpipe or x pipe on there tahoe??if so how do u like it???

but if you're trying to decide which way to go.
it dosn't make much difference, it's all about personal pref.

on a truck (or any vehicle not spinning super high RPM's) I'd go with an "H" pipe
I like the more "Gurgley" sound, I find it fitting on a V8

I have an "X" pipe on my GTO (I've thought about swapping to an "H" for the sound, I'm only spinning 7200 rpm on the LS2)
it gives more of an "Exotic" (Smoother High RPM sound) and should "Scavange" better at High RPM's

I'd go with an "H"
more gurgley sound

not to mention,
you're not gonna be pulling the big RPM's

I don't think the H will sound too good with Flowmasters due to the chambered design.

I run an H pipe. I rebuilt the exhaust after the cat back. Forgot which mufflers I used but they are basically see thru design. I lost alot of low end pull until I cut the pipes and added a cross over (H Pipe).

I think this becomes more important if you add headers, as I did, to keep the pressures at the exhaust ports on the heads in better balance.

I had a difficult time believing what I read about the diffs between the two; most of which is sound. They both lead to a pressure balance.

Why not run 2 pipes all the way to a dual inlet dual outlet muffler with an internal X? If not add an X as close to the motor as possible were the exhaust is hottest and has the most energy. As is cools the more energy it looses

True, if running a dual in single out muffler you don't need an x or an h.
