I finally enjoyed a full day off and I decided to do some service and cleaning. Just changed the oil on the Tahoe, sits at 271,721 miles currently. Decided to wash it as well.

Air filter box is out while the K&N drop in dries off.

I don't wan't to hear anything about the Z71 decal either, it was there before I owned it.

Just changed my oil, front diff oil and now about to do the transfer case fluid. Good thing it is only 106 degrees and humid as hell.

I still need a few things, I need to overhaul my interior because it's bugging me. I need a new dash and door panels. Previous owner had kids. Kids=spills and rips and tears and you know the rest. I truly do like it, such a shame it's pricey to drive it but I don't care.

I wouldn't get a new dash and door panels right away. People have done some great things with a mr clean magic eraser.

Dash is cracked (typical plastic dashboards from GMs 1990s) and door panels aren't just dirty, but previous owner had them all torn up and where the retainers go are broken so the left side panel won't stay on properly. Found this out when I replaced the factory speakers.

Another thing, would replacing those current tires (LT265/75R16) with (P245/75R16) make a considerable aesthetic difference? I need a cheap set of tires for my daily commute and the GM dealership here is selling me some steel wheels with new tires for $350. In the months of August and September I'll be driving about 100 miles a day round trip everyday for work. After that, I'll be back to my 3 mile a day commute and I'll be in search of some BFGs to replace my current 265s

the 245 were the stock tire on the 4dr 4wd units. you will be fine. need to concentrate on that engine compartment for sure.
