are therye any halo lights that arnt all chrome. like kinda dark. if theye dark wouldnt it make the light output less? and can you put hids in them?

Did you search on ebay?? The first two that pop up for 'halo tahoe' are dark housings for our body style ...

What he said.. halos arent bright, just so you know. i had them.

halos don't look good on our trucks IMO because of how small the housings are

I have the black halos on my truck. I like the blue halo itself. But the fact that they are LED makes them seem not bright. The answer to this dimness, is to get cold cathode (CCFL) halo headlights.problem is, No one makes CCFL halo black housing halos for our trucks. The only way u could do it is to buy the same housings I have, and mod a CCFL into where the LED halo is now. Idk how difficult it would be. I've considered returnings the kit I bought. Only 90 bucks for all friend end housings. But I figured I could mod it later if I wanted ccfl halos that much. The only ccfl halos for our trucks, come in a chrome housing for like....$120
