Hands free lift gate sensor

Does anyone know if I can install the hands free sensor to open the trail gate for my 2015 Yukon that did not come with one? I know the later years did get them. I have a Denali trim if that helps.

This is from GM Tech Link: The liftgate operates when the sensor detects a kicking motion. The hands-free liftgate sensor control module sends a serial data message to the liftgate control module, which activates the liftgate motor in the liftgate power assist actuator. The tail lamps flash when the command has been received. If you can duplicate this it might work.
