After a few posts you all know I am not happy with the gas mileage from my 07 Denali with no more then 12 mpg even with 36psi in the tires and new K&N.

When I replaced the K&N I noticed 1 screw for the airbox lid was missing so I finally picked it up from the dealer along with a container of gas treatment made by Justice Bros also sold at the dealer. The tank was nearly empty but I dumped the whole container. When my DIC was showing only 15 miles left I put in 10 bucks worth of gas and ran that nearly all the way down. My thinking not to dillute the gas treatment.......So I filled up this morning on my way to Long Island (25 miles each way) which was the longest trip I made so far with the "new truck" and guess what?? 16.8 MPG!!!! Mind you the highway was less then empty on the way there and even worse on the way home! I honestly think after I install the new plugs and wires on an early morning commute I will see 20mpg on the highway :party33:, or at least I hope to come close.

Do you think the airbox was sucking air and creating turbulance? Or the treatment worked? Or combination of them both?

nice but be careful with those Fuel additives. Too much of it can be a bad thing. But they are potent and they do work

I notice changes in gas mileage with changes in grade of gas, if it contains ethanol, also what wheels I drive on (noticed a 3 mpg drop going from 18 to 24 inch wheels). So if I can I try to find 93 octane gas with out ethanol, the 24s are staying on though
