ok so ive been gone for a while and my trucks been having a hard start issue but its only every once in a while. some times its really bad and sometimes not so much. its got a brand new starter (not a reman). im thinking maybe a bad ground or fuel filter? maybe just spray some WD40 in the starter and see if that helps?

No it gets driven multiple times a day. It's my daily driver

I tried new rotor, wires and dizzy cap. That helped a tiny bit but not really

unknown at this time.
You should perhaps get it scanned to check for proper outputs and data registering of the sensors. Such as crank sensor, Map and MAF. Also the entire fuel pressure test procedure.

ok so here are the advanced auto scan tool results

idle: 627-640 RPM
MAF (Lb/m): .82
MAP ("Hg): 8.9-9.2
advance (deg): 21.5-25.5

i dont know if this makes any difference but its said Fuel Sys 1 and 2 CLSD (im assuming that meant closed)

WD40 ans Fuel Filter helped a but but its still sketchy sometomes

the start. it sounds like the starter is having trouble or the battery is dying. the starter is new and the battery was tested by interstate and was almost like new. fuel filter helped a lot but it is still hard at times

So it turns slow.
Check the power at the battery, then check at the starter.
Check at the battery cranking, check at the starter cranking.
Should be the same, maybe a bit lower at the starter.
If you lose more then about 1/2 a volt at the starter not cranking compared to the battery, and same cranking compared to the battery you need new cables.

Try to be more descriptive. A hard start can mean slow to crank, battery, starter, cables, etc...
Or cranks fine, fuel filter, pump, etc...
