My dad taught me how to ride at 14. Hardtail with ape hangers. My 1990 FatBoy had 18" ape hanger bars. Never a shield on any of my bikes.

Plus, don't pick on my Raiders!!!!!!!!!! :chewie:
Man, if your dad was already that good when he was only 14, my hat's off to him. :)

I'm a big fan of the Kenny Stabler and Lester Hayes Raiders.

No, I was 14, not him. He had ridden for years. He taught me on a knucklehead. The most beautiful Harley engine ever and then the panhead is a close second.

That knuckle had rocker clutch with a hand shift that you reached for under your right ass cheek. He got some good laughs teaching me but showed off when he showed his friends how I could ride it. My best day was when I got my license at 16 and he had friends over and I got to drink beer with all of them while they worked on bikes. That was the shit back then till mom shut it all down for me after 3 beers. It is what it is.

In all honesty, I have nothing against Harleys themselves. Most are not my cup of tea but to each their own.

What I dislike is the attitude that alot of the HD riders have. Very stuck up and snooty... the whole... "if it's not a HD it's not a "REAL" bike." thing.... lol

I used to ride with some of my buddies that had HDs and without fail, everytime we would stop some where, everybody wanted to come up to me and talk about my bike. Most were great but there were always a few that would be drooling over my bike UNTIL they found out it was a Honda... then it was like "Oh, nevermind"... I always found it kind of amusing how brainwashed people were.

Me personally, I could care less what you ride, if you're on 2 wheels and you're happy... good for you.

Well my question is if you have nothing against Harleys why not own one? There’s nothing like the sound and what you can do to one. Here’s one of the ones I built. Can’t build a Honda like this. The sound system was loud enough to listen comfortably cruising down the highway.

Oh, and all the groups I rode in were mainly Harley riders who didn’t care what you ride, all were welcome. I still have a VRod I built which they also accepted even though it’s not considered a “real” Harley either. I’m on hiatus though after an idiot in a car pulled in front of me at 40 mph.F08425A4-B8D7-45B4-A375-5EA22942C9E2.jpeg

I see that cool license plate holder with the Oregon tag. Plus that cool low ride bagger is freakin' awesome.

I thought I covered that in my previous posts but....

I prefer a water cooled engine. In FL if you aren't moving you are steadily cooking your engine, oil, and yourself for that matter.

Yes you can build a Honda like that but again, not really my cup of tea. The baggers are cool, the one you built is beautiful, but I am into the more minimalist look of a chopper... you know the whole, less is more thing.

Yeah I had 40k into that bike in just parts and the cost of the bike, not including all my labor to build it. And it was all wiped out in a second. The driver of the car was suspended with no insurance, but I fought and got 42k for the bike through my insurance but was out of work for a year and only got 50k in medical and lost wages.
