it sounds that like i have a squeek coming from my drive shaft maybe, it does not appear to have any play in the u joints but im wondering if they could still be the culprit, thanks in advance for any help

I had squeak/griding noise coming from the rear of my 03 yukon in july. I put the truck in neutral and jacked up the rear end and got under the truck and spun the shaft with my hands. The noise I heard was the result of a dried up u-joint so I replaced it and problem solved.
