Has anyone pried off the front part of the headlight to painT?

Has anyone pried off the front part of the headlight to painT? is it easy? i was going to paint the whole light but i dont want to remove my door panels and tape the mirror..... i just want to paint the front part it looks like it will pry off but it also looks like it could just break i dont want to break it....

theres away u can put them in the oven and heat them up then the lens will just pop off then u paint the inside and re-glue it back together

im talking about the cap on the front is that what your talking about they just dont pop off like with a flat head .?

holy crap wow lol to many beers for me tonight i meant the friggin side mirrors lol wow! the cap on the front of the side mirrors i want to paint those lol

yea haha going thru some rough shit so had one to many or 5 or 6 lol but really has anyone pried off the front cap off the MIRRORS! lol is it easy

put them in the oven at 250 for 15 min. and dont have the lights touching the sides of oven and that will soften the glue up and u will be able to pull them apart then after painting do the same to put the back together i did some of a guy a while back at the shop

I'm not sure how to pop the covers off the mirrors but Im sure its not too difficult. Just take your time and be careful.

Yeah just pry in a flathead but be careful, it's just a couple tabs and some double sided tape, I just painted mine today.

biggest hint is be very careful I cracked a cover by pulling too hard
damn GM loaded on the adhesive on one side
I wouldn't paint them either find some from a different tahoe and ask to trade your plastic ones for the painted ones

be careful though my problem was I got mine from an 01 and I'm an 03 so they didn't match up perfect
