Has anyone seen this aux port install before?

So I bought a 2004 GMC Yukon SLT last weekend and while I am enjoying it so far, the aux port install has me a bit confused. I was wondering if anyone has seen this method of install before and might be able to tell me how its supposed to work. It is in the lower opening below the two DC power ports.

I have checked and it is not hooked up using the XM module.

There is evidence of an aftermarket amp being installed under the 2nd row, drivers side seat (rca and other cables left) but the amp was not there. I have tried every input with both the switch on and off and i cant get the aux audio to play. If it matters, the switch lights up when turned on.

If no one has seen this kind of install or if its missing parts, im just going to hook the port up via the XM method.

Thanks!

I decided to investigate myself and found that the wires ran behind the stereo into this. It's a hardwired FM transmitter. It's set to play over 88.3FM. Not perfect quality but good enough for me.
