Have Static

I have a 05 Yukon,the ON STAR microphone above my head is making static noise. Can I turn it off?Help!! Its driving me nuts.

That's not a microphone. It's a sensor of somekind. It's a common issue that people have. Some guys say spray some compressed air in it and it'll fix the problem.

Yeah its your HVAC sensor. It has a little fan in there that sucks in the air to test the temp. Blast it or I think you can pull it off and clean it, not sure though
