Hey folks, I've had a Kenwood KVT 719-DVD installed for the last 2 1/2yrs or so....I recently had to get the bumper and grill replaced b/c of an accident. When I got the truck back, the head unit was in "Protect" mode. I figured that it was b/c they had the battery disconnected and didn't read too much into it. When I got home, i hopped on the interwebz and looked the problem up, the most common answer I saw was to hit the reset button on the faceplate. I did this, and it worked fine, for a day. When I got in it the next day, it was back in Protect again, but this time reset wouldn't work. I've shot all of my speaker wires, and they all seem fine. None of my wires are touching any bare metal, so i don't think that it's grounding out where it shouldn't be. All of my fuses are good, (I went ahead and replaced em anyways). All of the ground wires that I can find under the hood seem to be connected and fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should check next?? I'm at a loss, and I don't know is they will try and claim that they aren't responsible anymore since I made the mistake of messing with it and not just taking it straight back to em....
Thanks in advance for any help!!
