Im considering ARH or other headers for the next mod (if I can get a bump in allowance from the wife)

Has anyone installed these? How much of a PITA?
Or is this a lift needed install?

Also, what kind of results are you seeing.

I'm planning on keeping the stock exhaust otherwise, so not looking for a increase in volume. I know it will add a bit of noise change... but just info as for what my plan is.
(Might have to get these and throw them on with out the wife knowing lol!)

Talking with a dyno tuning shop I was told the hp gain from headers is minimal at best not much bang for the buck. According to them chevy did a good job designing the stock set up. I would be interested in seeing some actual dyno before and after results if anyone has seen otherwise.

I have extensive experience in dyno tuning bikes and what works and what doesn't and in many cases what people pay big money for seldom actually give a real gain. In most cases it amounts to more noise and people think it makes more power but 99% of the time it makes less power over all. So when I add parts to mine I am mostly interested in seeing dyno results that actually work.

Headers one of the best mods you can do. Free up exhaust flow. Stock headers are restrictive.
I have ARH and running 1 7/8. I'm using stock cat back 2.75 with magnaflow muffler and resonator delete and mine sounds mean as hell

I had mine dynoed and compared a similar truck modded mike mine. Mine has ARH 1 7/8 and other was stock headers. Mine easily Made 50 horses more.

@JennaBear......Have you guys dyno'd any 6.2 DI motors with headers? Or even found a significant change in tuning needs for a truck with headers?

also, I think your truck has them...how was the install? Have you messed with the ARH vs Dyna and Kook (I cant remember who else is making them).

I wish I could find a 50 state set of headers. If there is a 35+ tq gain I would go for it...But if its just 5-10 tq smooth out then its not worth the money and hassle come smog time...

I read read an article about a '14 pre post dyno of ARH headers on a supercharged 6.2...
+15 whp max...

:(

Looks like the monies will be staying put until I can secretly go supercharged

Sumo, can you post a pre and post install dyno chart or maybe your post chart if you don't have both for us. Thanks.
