So i'm about set up for the engine swap. I've looked around for a thread and didnt find any threads out there with info on this. Does anyone recomend a aftermarket header to run on a 6.0 block but I need it to hook up to a 5.3 exhaust???

The 6.0 and 5.3 are the same platform and size externally. Only differenence is a 4.00 bore. Everything that bolts to a 5.3 will bolt to a 6.0.

Texas Speed makes a nice ss header with 1 3/4 primaries for about $370 plus the cost of a y pipe.

Does Texas Speed have a website??? Also I was told that the only real difference is that a 6.0 has Dee shaped exhaust ports on the manifold and the collector is different (6.0 manifolds wont match up to the 5.3 collector/y-pipe) but they 5.3 manifold will mount to the 6.0 headers.

Nope, exhaust ports don't matter. They will work. Anything for a 4.8/5.3/6.0 will work. The 8.1 is the only non gen III engine. Do you plan on doing anything else down the road? Cam, etc. Texas Speed is a good company, and quality products.

there are a few good companies out there that make a good long tube header for our trucks. as said above the exhaust post won't make a difference. Do you plan on going to duals or just a 2 into 1 Y pipe. Pacesetter makes a nice unit but there are enough options out there and info for you to make a good decision. Also read the signature line of the members to see what everyone else is running. you can also PM them to get there opinion.
