Ok so its been discussed before, but i want to start my own so i dont have to read through all the old posts.

I have the DDM kit (35 watt) in lows and fogs. Driver side headlight goes out after i turn on the truck, then i have to turn them off then on again for it to work. Pass side works fine every time, but sucks cause i sometimes have to turn the lights off 3-4 times!

Anyway, im pretty sure im going to order the harness, but before i do, should i check and see if its a ballast problem? Also, i talked to dude at DDM and he said another trouble shooting tip is to change the fuse!(?) but only 5 amps more. what do yall think about that? i just hope that its not a ballast problem because it will be a pain in the ass so have to redo all that work! and its cold out! For those with the harness was this a 100% success rate, or did you have problems later?

Thanks guys, this forum is so much help!

Its a wire harness problem. That seems to be exactly what DDM says will happen without a wire harness and relay. They are only $15, you have nothing to loose.

You never know, it could actually be a bad ballast due to insufficent voltage from not having a relay, lets hope its not or it will just drive the price higher!

Just an FYI, on another forum some of the folks are having the same issues and added the relay. In some cases it worked and others it didn't. This was on nnbs and nbs Tahoes. Hopefully it will work for you.

For those that did not work, they switch brands and was successful. Before I would do that, I would switch ballasts and/or bulbs to troubleshoot. If the ballast, use the DDM warranty. I know it is a lot of work though. Good luck!

Just do a relay and remove the possibility of that being your issue. Like previous posters said, it's only 15 bones and easy to install....nothing to lose!

Upping the fuse amperage wouldn't do anything unless you're actually blowing the current fuse. :Handshake:
