Hey guys, it's been a while, but I've run into a problem I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.

I've been the owner of a 2005 Yukon for a few months now and I started noticing this strange pattern with the DRLs that one would stop working every once in a while, then it would decide it was alright to come back on. I blew it off as a wiring issue, but didn't stress it too much since they're only DRLs.

NOW, within the past few weeks I've been noticing this same pattern with my low beams. One day my driver's side light will appear to be burnt out, then it will return to normal for a few days, then the OTHER light will seem as if it's burnt out, then return to normal. Tonight, I was on my way home from a game, I switched on my high beams and when I switched back to my lows, there was nothing. Darkness. Now I'm beginning to get worried.

Is this a big deal or something small that I could fix myself? Does anyone even know what the hell's going on?

P.S.: Sidenote: Unrelated, but I think the previous owner had some sort of 'chip' running on my Yukon because there's a mount for one under my dash and there's a loose cable just chillin down there and I'm wondering what it's for/where it should be? Is there someplace I should plug it back into or..?

I'll post some pictures of my truck soon, she's getting some small details worked out right now, but I can't wait to share with you guys!

Sounds like your relays are going bad, they are located in the fuse box under the hood. Buy new ones at o'reily, if it doesn't fix your problem return them.
