As some of you may have seen, I put some Denali projectors (that look like OE copies) from Headlights Depo on Amazon on my 2000 GMC Yukon XL.
The box is branded Perde, and the lens is branded TYC.
Tonight I had a foggy drive home from class, and the projectors seemed to preform pretty well.
The sharp cutoff of the beam helped me see the road better than I expected it would, and I don't believe fog lights would have been much use at all. I could see better than I would have, if I'd been driving the '04 Monte Carlo.
Here you can see the sharp cut off in the fog. The glare from the headlights does not exist in reality.
In person they look much closer to this, but just a bit brighter.:
(please ignore the road grime on the lens!)
One interesting thing I have found about the Denali headlights, is their lack of side to side adjustment.
They can only be adjusted up and down.
They have a good cutoff that keeps the lights below most car and truck rear windows, along with windshields and side windows.
As you drive down the road, you will notice that the lights tend to leave the oncoming lane mostly dark, with a very minimal spill, that is useful for seeing the ditch and people on the left side.
Here is a shot (with the truck too close) of their low beam pattern on my garage wall.
Seeing I only paid $97 for these headlights, I feel I got more than what I paid for.
