Hello,

I understand this question gets asked often and i can not find anything that pertains to my situation. I have a 2009 Tahoe LTZ. Recently while on a trip the seat heater would not turn on after i hit the cooled function first, then heat. After i stopped and restarted the vehicle, it worked again. About a week later it stopped working again after a long trip of working on all levels after a restart. It is both front seats. The one thing i noticed is that an audible click is heard when the buttons are pressed and a few seconds later you hear the audible click again. I have checked the fuse under the hood and that is all good. I have read about a "seat control module" but have not found much information about it. The one ting that comes to mind right away is spent heating element, but they both went out together includng the cooled seats, ODD. If anyone can help with trouble shooting including exactly what fuses/relays and locations, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, y'all.

If you have cool/heat seats, you won't have heating pads but a thermo electric device/module. Check you harness underneath the passenger side and see if there's any burnt markings on the connection. Sounds like arching is what you're hearing.
