Hey Tahoe Members,
Just got some leather seats from ebay for my 1998 Chevy Tahoe Sport Edition 2D 4WD. They are NOT exact match.
The passenger seat mounting bolts don't line up. It's about two inches too short.
Got to figure something out.
The orginal seats are NOT heated, but the replacements do have the heater options.
So here's the QUESTION:
Is there a way to hook up the heated seats? Right now the wires from the Tahoe are Two Orange, Two Black. (DRIVER SIDE)
The replacement seat need an additional brown wire, I think, to work the heat option on the seat. Any Ideas?
Also the orginal Passenger seat just has the lombard adjustment (little airbag) Two wire One Orange and One Black. The tracks for moving the seat back and forth are manual. Is there a way to wire
the replacement seat, so it can utilize all the electric switches for adjustments,
Lombard, Up/Down, Tilt, backwards/forwards, and heat.
PS: looking for a new carpet too.
Thanks for your help and ideas.
