My yukon is a '95. A while back, faulty hood took out my windshield and cracked my dash and I had to take it into the shop and have it replaced. I've heard before that '95 is only compatible with '95 in the dash electrical, is this true? The body shop fried my controls, but won't own up to it so I need to find a new assembly before winter. Am I limited to '95 or will other years work?

unfortunate later 94 and earlier are different system and the 96-newer did not have a wiring harness attached to unit like 95 did so only a 95 will work but that does not mean you are limited to just Tahoe. Look for used Suburbans and trucks of they same year.

After test fitting a replacement, I found I still had the same problem. Started looking around under the dash and apparently, the shop that fixed the truck decided not to re-install brackets that open/close my vents
