I am having a problem with my remote start. It is below freezing here and when ever I start my Tahoe with the remote start it turns on the rear defroster, the heated seats BUT does NOT turn on the heater. On my 07 GMT900 Sierra it would turn on with no problems. Has anyone have this problem and know of a fix?

I have the auto climate control. I start it up and nothing happens with the heater. I then turn the key and it kicks in.

Depending on how long you are letting it run the heat does not come on till the engine reaches a certain operating temp. This goes for many newer cars regardless of remote start. Also the factory remote start automatically sets the climate control to 70 degrees regardless of the hot or cold conditions. I never need to set my Climate control before leaving the vehicle.

Ok that kind of makes sense. I only let it run for a few minutes before I go in it. I also noticed if I am out and about and it hasn't been off for a long time the heater works right away.

I guess I will let it warm up longer and see what it does.

yea its all controlled by the bcm. Once you turn the key on, then it goes to what ever you had your settings at.
