I got into my Hoe today after two days of rain off and on and I noticed water dripping from my passenger sun visor. I looked up and found the headliner to be damp, and then looked on the floor and saw that my floor mat was pretty soaked. Its only above the visor area. I have a sun roof and took off my luggage rack and put the screws back in with no silicone about a month ago, but tightened the hell out of them. I looked at the outside of the sun roof and the molding looks like it has a pretty good seal. It has rained pretty hard b4 and I havnt had this problem. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do I remove the air vents in the headliner to get the headliner off? FML!!!! :emotions122:

Sounds like it could be a clogged drain for the sun roof. There should be a tube that runs along the a piller.

If it never leaked until it rained after you removed your rack, I would bet its your luggage rack screws. You gotta seal em up.

mine has never leaked and i have a sunroof and a removed rood rack. i didnt "seal" the roof rack holes. i put set screws down inside the holes and then painted over the top of the set screws. no silicone but the paint should work fine.

I would seal the screws and check the sunroof drains. We see this sometimes since the customers we deal with have a lot of trees in the area they live in.

My money is on the drain pan/tubes on the sunroof. If it were your roof rack holes you'd have a bigger area on the sides of the liner than just over the visors. Open your sunroof and take a look into the corners. Also you shouldn't have to take the vents out to remove the liner. Just the A & B pillars, rear HVAC, sunroof and vanity light console, visors and retaining clips, oh shit handles and pull the gasket around the liner and sunroof housing inside. Should drop down enough to get to the drain tubes. Run some pipe cleaners or screwdriver with a paper towel up into the sunroof housing and use some compressed air into the drain tubes to make sure everything is clear.
