Hello all, need help

I'm in the market for a Tahoe or Yukon. What i need advise on is:

Do I buy a 98000 mile 2010 Tahoe LT loaded for $20k or do I buy an 08 LTZ 4X4 with 118k miles, both with 5.3L For about the same price.

Then I find an 08 Denali AWD with the 6.2L and 140k miles for $14k?

Which is the better buy considering all in great shape? Better to have 6.2 or 5.3?

It really depends on what features you want and can't live without. On the question of 5.3 vs the 6.2, the answer lies in what you do with the truck. Do you drive mostly highway miles? Or city? Do you do any towing? If so how much weight do you pull and how far do you go?
I opted to buy a denali setup as the bigger motor option gives me plenty of power to tow 6000lbs of sea ray speed boat when necessary. The AWD handles fantastically around the windy mountain roads where I live, as well as its extremely capable in the snow which I get plenty of where I live. The air ride setup in the back makes towing alot smoother for me. These were all features I couldn't get together in a tahoe or slt yukon. They were features necessary for my lifestyle. But not everyone has those needs, so it all comes down to what features best suit your needs.

Jay, welcome to the forum from Georgia Dawg country. From what you listed, I see no other choice except the 98 for far less $$, and in my opinion the better choice than 5.3. JMHO and good luck, post picture of your choice later.

No real towing needs except the occasions when I take my mustang to the track.

Either will handle that. I guess the question boils down to should I go with the lower mile 5.3 for more money vs the higher mile 6.2 that probably will gets less gas mileage. Which engine would I see issues with first?

No, it's 2WD. The 2008 is.

The 2010 will need a real good carpet cleaning and possibly a windshield repair. Has a small crack right in the center. Guy said it has been there for years.

With that said, should I be concerned about 140k miles on the 6.2L? I plan on driving whichever daily and on family trips

In that case I think you need to assess the condition of the 118k motor vs the 140k motor. If properly maintained, either the 5.3 or 6.2 are pretty much bulletproof engines.

Well the 2010 is a 2 owner vehicle with 98k miles. The seller bought it CPO, and his wife has driven it since 50k miles. He's asking 20k

The 6.2L won't have AFM which is a plus in my book. AFM has crap lifters that like to go bad.
