Hello all from Central Texas. A friend sent me a link to this forum and suggested I'd like it. I just bought my wife a 2001 Denali XL and am in the process of making it as nice as possible for her.
We've owned three Suburban's in the past, a 96 2WD LT conversion, a '98 4x4, and a '03 black LT. All were great trucks, and will post some pics soon.
When gas prices went nuts a few years back we gave my mother, who is retired, the 03 Suburban. It had 170K miles at the time. Got my wife a little Grand Prix to commute in.
Recently some family friends seperated and we took in their kids, so in addition to our 4yr-old and 11yr-old, we now have a 12yr-old, 14yr-old, and 17yr-old. My plan was to buy another clean used Suburban, but came across this older-than-I-planned Denali that was so pretty and so cheap I could not pass it up. Got it on Tuesday.
I'm a real car nut. I have a basket-case '67 GTO, a t-top '88 Olds Cutlass, and my daily driver is a 65K original mile 1992 Olds Custom Cruiser station wagon. I like oddball stuff.
Anyway hello and hope to be active on here.
