Hey everyone another newbie here from the east coast of canada. Always liked the late 90s tahoes and recently my old man said he was thinking about either selling it cheap or just using it as a plow truck. I told him i would buy it from him and he said i could have it....... so home i went and started ordering parts.lol. Picked it up and took it straight to the body shop where i work. Started by ripping off the roof rack and running boards, chrome bumpers and all the rest of the chrome to see exactly what i was getting into.....NOT GOOD!!. under every peice of chrome there was rust and the little bubbles on the 1/4's turned into rebuilding both rear 1/4's. I molded a goodmark steel rollpan into the rear and ordered a paintable front bumper (i hate chrome). After a couple late nights at the shop i was ready for paint. Laid down a band of Mitsubishi R70 red pearl to design a stripe to bring some of the red interior out. designed a small stripe /design on the fly , taped it off andstarted laying on the black. 3 good heavy coats of clear and it was done.
Pulled it out of the booth and tore the dash out to start the sterio install.
kenwood excelon cd/mp3/ipod, infinity reference 6.5's throughout and aa sigle 15" memphis dual voice coil sub ran by a kenwood excelon amp bridged.
In the future plans are to
drop it static/bags???
rims (got some newer style tahoe rims for now)
goodmark cowl hood
ss front bumper
magnaflo exhaust

let me know what yas think

thanks for the feedback. I like to keep it clean and simple, still not sold on the stripe but i am glad i tweaked the red abit with some extra pearl to make it pop. I had about 5 different paint combos in my head but at 11pm i just wanted to get it done:sleepy10::sleepy10:
heres one of the 50 or so pics of the paint with the extra pearl
