Hello y'all, I am a MN transplant from West TX. Been up here will be 6 years come mid Dec. I am a Ford and Toyota fan, and new now to GM. Due to accident I was in a few weeks ago, my 2014 Explorer was wrecked and insurance wouldn't fix it due to cost of repairs. The other driver tried to beat me to an exit off the highway and clipped me. My vehicle had minor damage and was still drivable but I decided to let it go. The guy who hit me rolled almost twice. No injuries thankfully and he was found at fault.

His insurance bought me out of my Explorer and I worked out a deal with my brother in law, for his 2011 Yukon. It's pretty much immaculate, no rust. Has a half dollar sized chip in the grill chrome, a small crack in the drivers seat, couple cracks in the dash and couple of paint cracks on the rear bumper. 119K miles, SLT 4x4, black on black leather with the dvd/tv setup. A lot of options and I am very happy with it. The only gripe I have, coming from Ford and Toyota, is the steering. The vehicles I've had in the past have heavier steering. This Yukon and other GM vehicles I've had as rentals have very light steering. I really wish I could adjust it for a heavier feel. It feels twitchy and I am all over the lane. I will just have to get used to it.

Welcome to the forum. You can adjust the feel and responsiveness of the steering by altering the wheel alignment. Talk to a professional alignment guy, not just some kid who is going to set it in the green and send it. Tires and their air pressure also have a role to play in this.

You will.probably discover that these suv's are more nimble and agile compared to driving a boat(Ford) add some good sway bars and it's even better. There is a notable handling difference between a Ford SUV and a gm suv
