Looking to replace the suspension in my 96 2DR 4WD, no major issues except it's just too loose and worn at this point so most of the time my hoe bounces around the road like I'm on a trampoline. Best I can tell, the current suspension is all original factory with the exception of the shocks that are Billstiens.

I'm thinking about replacing the torsion bar, leafs, struts and shocks and adding a sway bar while I'm down there. I wan't to keep the stock height and stance but add some stiffness and road feel.

Any suggestions on brands or what I should and shouldn't replace would be appreciated.

Gee thanks, I was totally planning on getting a looser shock to help tighten the ride.

Anyone with some worthy advice instead of a half cooked sarcastic reply?

save the comment for someone else, I was being serious. sorry I did not spell it out so... getting new torsion bars or springs won't do a whole lot for shock control if the can hold the gvwr and maintain the ride height they are doing there job properly. don't replace them just to stiffen the ride. it is a waste of money and yields little results. in fact if you are willing to spend that money invest in some rancho 9000 adjustable where you can dial in your perfect ride feel. you can even control them remotely too.please don't take the first reply as sarcasm. sometimes the simplest answer is the best.

Do people run dual shocks on these rigs? I think you could double shocks and go sway bar to make this ride like a sports car...if that's what you're looking for.

usually if they have dual shocks installed it is part of a bigger suspension lift kit that can accommodate the extra brackets and related hardware.
