I am looking for a larger better tranny cooler for my truck.. I have never changed one before so I am looking for something that is just "plug and play" if anyone knows about the AN fittings and such on these trucks any help would be appreciated..

I would search around to some other transmission shops around you and get some prices of them installing one, I paid 70 bucks installed from my trans guy 2 years ago and haven't had a problem one!! I wasn't gonna call anyone, was going to install it like I always have but thought I'd give them a call!! Glad I did, alot cheaper than I thought it would be for sure!!

It is just a generic type, it doesn't use the same type of fittings a stock one would use but if installed correctly they work great without leaking. As for temp #'s, it dropped temps quite a bit from the stock little cooler, it was the biggest one they could replace it with. My tranny was really getting hot when towing my toyhauler up hills and such but with the newer bigger one it is alot better and cooler, well worth the money, especially if you are towing some!!

I was blown away when they told me how much it was gonna cost, I even asked them to repeat the price a few times but the end result was the same, dirt cheap!!! It's worth asking around, it really isn't a hard installation for them, and alot of those places get those coolers for cheap!

My Yukon has the tow package but does not have the trans temp guage or the external trans cooler. What is the best method of adding the external cooler? Are the hard lines from the transmission different or are there some factory parts that route the lines to in front of the radiator?
