Last week i had some heat with a 160 tstat, so after researching i decided to put a 185 or 90 Tstat in to get more heat out of it. Now i get absolutely NO heat and the temp gauge is all over the lower half of the gauge, usually topping out around 150 or so. I also put in a new heater core about 2 months ago. Anyone out there got any ideas??

Hows coolant level? is it full? I had similar problem with my 89 sierra. I have a trapped air pocket in the core. I went to auto store and bought the Prestone cooling system flush where you install a t tap inline so you can hook in a water hose. After i did that, i flushed out crud built up in the system and i have heat again
