I'm installing a new aftermarket stereo in my 1999 Yukon and running into a problem with the unit starting up when I turn off the truck and turn back on... Think it is a problem with the deck but before I return it just want to make sure I'm not missing something...
I bought a single din 7" touch screen (Lanzar model), bought the wiring harness and simply matched color to color and by passed the parking breaking wire... During the test run before putting everything in, the unit came on everything worked but when I turn off the truck and turn back on, the lights on the buttons of the unit are working but the screen doesn't come on... Didn't plug in the antenna cause I needed an adapter, but you can hear the static as if the radio is on.... So I pressed the power button on the deck, turned it off and then back on and the screen works again and picks up the last place the cd was on... So no memory lost.....
Think it may be a glitch with the player but not sure.... The wiring harness on the unit does have three extra wires which I assume are all for a backup camera.... One pink (labeled rear camera switch) one black (key ground) and one purple (key 1 input).... The other black wire i connected with the other ground from the harness I bought.....
Would appreciate any help on this problem.... Thanks
