Help! Lowered tahoe riding on bump stops

Hello everyone
I just installed the following on my 2002 4x4 Tahoe,
Front lowering torsion keys from Belltech
Rear lowering springs from McGaughys
I also installed Belltech lowering shocks

After I finished installing everything it looks amazing.
But after taking it for a ride, I noticed the front end was bouncing extremely. So I went back to look under and found that the front bump stops are compressed all the way down. Is this what is causing my tahoe to bounce so much? I turned the keys all the way up but that didnt work. Any Ideas on what I could do?

Those are actually " jounce stops" and they're designed to be in contact. They're not a solid rubber like the rear bump stops but a softer material. Yours look like they're worn out. Replace them; mine looked way better than yours but when I pulled them out to put new ones in, I could see they were deteriorated. New ones made a big difference. Dorman part # 905-208 . They're used like a leverage point for the torsion bars.

Looked it up and it seems it's a common thing. I ordered some z71 style ones that hopefully help either the problem. Will check back when I install them.

Those jounce stops are toast. Did you trim the rears or do the free travel mod? Your going to want to.

I ended up trimming my new fronts- the new ones lifted my front back up 1/2" and I didn't want to run around out of level. I'm not sure about the Z71's- why did you order those? It would be good if they're shorter than your originals but I think they might be taller.

From what I was reading the z71s are more firm than the originals, and it should help with the bouncy ride I'm getting. I thought I would give them a try first.

And for the rear I left them stock, the back ride of the tahoe is fine. The problem is in the front and hopefully with the new jounce stops it will work.

Looks like you have the front dropped pretty low for just using lowering keys. That might be part of your problem. I haven't ridden in a rig with those installed but it was recommended to me to go with drop spindles for anything over an inch or so. I ended up with the Belltech ones and although it was more expensive, the front actually rides better than stock now. Hopefully the jounce stops will work for you, otherwise you know what needs to be done! There's always dropped lower control arms from DJM or drop spindles.

How many turns of the adjustment bolt did you put on after installing the new keys?

That's way too low on keys only. Your control arms are sitting on the bumpstop cup. New bumpstops won't help in that case. You'll have to crank them back up and go with a lowered control arm or a dropped spindle if you want to go lower. Keys aren't good for a lot of drop. If they are cranked all the way up and still hitting you may have to reclock them.

lets start wtih the front
1) the key ride bad at more than 1 inch drop so you will need to turn the keys back up in front
2) if you want a 10x better ride and stay low i have the djm 3 inch lower a arms/belltech front sp shocks for 445 shipped and will include new bushings/blower balljoints.
