ok i just picked up this yukon and im sellin my old toyota... now the yukon i just got came with pretty cool lookin 20's on it and i plan on lowerin it since its awd and i hear they are hell to lift and have drive nice which sucks cuz thats wa i really wanted to do.

so heres my issue i got like 1300 bucks into these 17x10 weld dunes that i had on my toyota that im sellin with the truck becuse ill never get the money i wan out of them and they are like a dream wheel of mine here is the pic of the wheel if you dont know welds much.

and here is a pic of my yukon with the wheels it came with

now my plan is to build a sport truck/suv out of this thing and i wana lower it like 3/4" there for ima have to do new tires on the 20's anyways so my question is what would you all do leave the 20's or try the 17's and is there anyone with pics of lowered yukons on 17's with more of a typhoon or tahoe ss stance to it...

thanks

I agree with Drowndindreams. I would keep the 20s you have on there now. They look sick. It'll really look nice when you do the 3/4 drop.

Welcome to the forums, and nice looking Yuke!

I don't know who told you that these trucks don't ride well lifted, but my truck rides better than it did stock with Ford keys, rear coil spacers, and Bilstein 5100s. Just FYI.

I do agree though that with those nice looking color matched 20s I'd lower it.

if i lift it i wanted to do a 6" suspension then do a 3" body on that and tuck all the bumpers and hitch and steps up so you couldnt tell it was body lifted. but i talked to fabtech, procomp, tuff country, and a few others and they all say the 4x4 and 2wd ones have no problems but the awd ones freak out they say that i vibration comes from the rear and the only thing that could maybe fix it is a CV style drive line. which i didnt want to make a truck that could end up being a problem child (thats why i got the yukon and im sellin the toyota it was a moody mo fo after trying to get every last hp out of a 3.0 v6 pushing 37's lol) so i decided if i cant go huge why try so ill lower it and make it fast....

but ya thanks everyone for the input ill prob end up running the 20's and saving the dunes for a future rig. but i will test fit one just to see... u never know tell u try it right
