07 & 08 Denali, Escalade, & 08 Burb have a known issue with the trans. It’s a good trans, but the TSB below identifies what the Achilles heel of those early 6L80 & 6L90 are. It makes the difference between a 75-100k trans vs. a 200k mi trans.

When the early one piece seals fail, “a harsh 2-3 shift condition may be caused by leaking 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch fluid seal rings on the transmission fluid pump cover assembly.”

I notice that 07 Burb & RWD 5.3L Yukon is exempt because it still had a 4SP. They went to the 6SP mid year 07/08. Not sure why the Tahoe isn’t mentioned at all.

Jack it up front then back and see how difficult it is to turn the wheels by hand in the forward direction. Do you use your E brake all the time? May have a cable that is corroded or sticking.

Jack up the rear and see how easily the wheels turn in the forward direction. Have you got a sticking E Brake cable?

Back in post #38 he said it needs a new transmission. It's AWD, I believe he said.

ill wheels of when i get home there is no sort of noise when i change from park to drive if i give it gas it seems like squats and it fill like im pulling a heavy load i will start moving around 7k rpm
7k = 7,000 rpm. If it’s revving that high before moving you definitely have a major tranny problem. I don’t believe my 5.3L will even rev that high at WOT. It might blow if I try.

Does this include the 09 denali 6 speed? If I'm really light on the throttle in the morning I can get a hard 2 to 3 shift. If I accelerate harder it shifts fine.
If so, does trans need to come out for this repair? I looked at that bulletin but I couldn't figure it out. How in-depth is diagnosis to check these welds?

I've been there and I know what it feels like and it sounds like the hubs are starting to lock up in the front. I have a 2004 Yukon Denali it did the same thing. The Hub last anywhere from 60 to 100 thousand model usually
I just had this happen to me on the way to work this morning. Currently waiting on a tow truck looking through the forums for clues. Hopefully my problem is just the hubs. I had the transmission rebuilt 2 years ago.

Good luck my friend. Hope it’s not the trans again. If it is, you know where to NOT take it this time.

It appears the TCM has gone bad. Hopefully none of internals of the trans are damaged. I've never had to deal with trans issues on any of my vehicles before so I'm stuck trusting the transmission shop on this one.
