I have a 96 Yukon GT. when I bought it the steering was real loose and I was told the steering gear box was warn out. I bought a steering gear box and my wife's brother put it in. Well when I got the truck back the steering wheel was all out of wack damn near upside down. He told me it just needed a wheel alignment. I took it to get aligned and the mechanic told me a alignment won't help whoever put your gear box in did it wrong and didn't line the teeth up right and they were way off. So now I'm stuck driving my truck with a cocked steering wheel. So I end up taking it to a shop where they lifted my hood and loosened the shaft from my steering wheel and it got it close to back straight. But i think that was the wrong way they should of did it because ever since then my turn signals have been going crazy some times the left signal works sometimes it don't. Some times the right signal works sometimes it don't. And I can always tell witch side isn't working because the signal flashes very fast like it does when you have a bad bulb. Also I don't get a full full turn when I turn a certain way now. What should I do fellas??

get a new truck... JK, I would take it back to the place the "fixed" it the second time and tell them whats going on... Ithink the correct way of doing it would have been to remove the arm from the gearbox and then line the wheel up and put the arm back on.. Sounds like they slid the steering shaft off the top of the gearbox and then straightened the wheels out and slid it back on right?

If i remember correctly there is a ring around your column that actually catches and turns off the signal when the wheel is turned so much and then straightened... Not sure why that would be acting up unless they took the wheel off and left your column turned but put the wheel back on straight... Sounds like u got halfed by a few ppl.
