About two weeks ago my front a/c started acting funny. I would turn the control up to full blast and it would only blow low to medium until i drove for awhile then it would kick up to full. I then turned the control down to medium or even low and it would stay on high. The a/c started to stay on for a few seconds after i turned the hoe off. Now the control is on full blast and there is nothing coming out. Even on medium or low there is nothing. The rear a/c works fine so is this an electrical problem with the control unit or is it mechanical? I think i can hear the compressor kick on when i turn the front a/c on but not 100% sure. WTF??? Did i mention i live in Texas and its like 150 degrees out here? FML! :emotions122:

There is a resistor or relay right under neath the fan motor. They go bad. Maybe the fan motor went bad? I am sure that somebody that knows alot more will be jumping in here shortly! And if it is the control module I have seen them on e-bay for less than $100......Scott

well i have a couple of scenarios to thro at ya.... first one i dont know if it even follows with our rides or not but here it goes

a couple years ago i drove my mother and i up to south dakota in her 99 gran prix... on the way back we lost traction control, our abs, and our blower motor went ape shit... when we got back i threw it in the shop for her... had the hub replaces and the guy had me take it to an electrical specialist for the blower... now heres where it get real funky...
the guy had to replace the blower motor and the ignition switch.... he didnt know which started to go out first but the ignition switch was all tied into the blower motor but the ignition switch was fried and the motor brushes for the fan were gone......

now for the second scenario last year in my 90 suburban my motor went out and i went ahead and changes out the fan speed resistor and the motor for less than 50 bucks and 20 minutes of install time....

id try the second scenario first and keep the first one for thought since it was a GM issue
hope this helps out some
