Alright guys I need some help now. My engine swap was going good and as planned until yesterday...

So I got the engine in and hooked it all up, tried to fire it up and it was cranking but it didn't fire. So I looked around the engine bay again to look for missing plugs and that, I found that the Crank Position Sensor wasn't hooked up...hehehe I know, my bad. Anyways I plugged it in and went to go crank it but now it stopped cranking all together!?!? I'm thinking what the hell happened? I looked at the CPS plug again and I saw a couple of the wires frayed. Could these wires have touched and screwed something up?? Anyways, I fixed the wires and plugged it back in. Now, same thing.

The starter is still good I tested it. What the hell could this be? What would make it just stop cranking all of a sudden??

Also, when I bought the truck the guy told me he had an Immobilizer installed. The kind that have the little key type deal that you plug in. Anyways he was saying that the tab on the key broke so he had bypassed the immobilizer by hooking up the ignition wire how it was stock.

Could the immobilizer be the problem here? Or am I facing a different problem...if it is the immobilizer then why all of a sudden and not when I first tried firing it?

All input appreciated!!

I would start looking at fuses both under the dash and in the engine bay. Do you have lights etc? Immobilizers are a pain. I would take it completely out anyway even though I don't think that is your problem now. Check wire connections and fuses.

K I forgot some important information haha, Yes I have checked all fuses they are all good. Everything else electric is working. Yes I do hear the fuel pump when I turn the key. I am going to pull out the Immobilizer tomorrow. Which other wires and fuses should I be checking? Besides under the hood and under dash.

The leads to the starter, relays along with the fuses (check them by swapping them around)

K I swapped the starter relay with at least 3 other ones so I don't think it's the relay itself, although I don't hear it click when I turn the key. But I am getting voltage at relay numbers 30,86 & 85. 30 is constant, 86 has voltage when key is on ignition, and 85 has voltage when key is turned all the way.

One thing I noticed that is very weird, when I press the rear glass button on my key fob, something electrical in the engine compartment happens. As if the engine is about to start, sort of like auto-start. The same thing happens when I press the button on the dash to open the rear glass...it's as if that button is a secondary ignition button or something :S.

I also took out the Immobilizer so that shouldn't be a problem anymore.

That'll happen. Random misplaced wires and vacuum hoses are the ***** when putting in a motor! Glad you got it tracked down.
