hi I need some info on upper control arms like what brands have you put on your truck and how do they work and last. I am most likely going to go through rockauto.com for the parts. The upper control arms I wanted were the mevotech cms50121 for $43.00 a piece but they only have right upper, and haven't put any left uppers up for a week and last time it was up it was $118 lol, but if they do come back in stock and are both 43 each im going to get them. but I don't want to order the right side if the are not going to stock the left side anymore

other options I have are the Dorman 521913 was $75 and now it is $34 and Dorman 521914 and this one is $75 so about $110 for both which aint bad but are they good products have any members here used them, they are press in ball joint and not bolt in like the Mevotechs which I don't know if bolt in is better or just easier to replace when you replace them

or this option I know everybody swears by moog parts but these are the cheap moog not sure if they are good or not has anybody on here used this exact moog control arms, moog rk620719 and moog rk620720 upper control arms they are not the problem solvers and they are $40 each the cheapest by far I don't have lots to spend but I don't want junk, I only work part time but I still want a good product please let me know if anybody has used any of the products I listed and let me know what you think of them.

these are the only ones listed on rockauto.com right now I might just wait to see if they stock anything new but not sure how often they stock all ive seen is a few changes in the last week or so not much added but a lot not available anymore

ok so nobody on this site has ever replaced upper control arms on a obs 4x4 just need some info on which parts work the best, I know somebody has had to change them they can barley keep them in stock on rock auto. I like the moogs price but they are cheap so I don't know if they are good or the dormans would be better but they look the same as dorman to me. the mevotechs look best to me but they raised the price and only have one size left. could some members please help me pick the best part I have available to me thanks

What's wrong with your original control arms?
I've always rebuilt mine, which is the most common practice I see.
Probably why you received no responses.

I won't advise you to use an aftermarket arm itself but if you're dead set on doing so then I bare no advice for you.

I think one of them might be a little bent. The ones I listed are replacement parts same design as oem. They are not aftermarket control arms. just wondering if anybody on here has replaced the whole uppers with any I listed. all the ones I listed are sold at rock auto some are just sold out right now. I know lots of people buy parts from rock auto. so I figured Id ask the question here. maybe ill try some other forums

I always go Moog. Don't know anything about mevotechs, Moog has been doing it a long time.

I did look at the arms on rockauto.com before I responded, I am aware that the arms are oem style.
Although they are manufactured by an aftermarket company.

The reason why I don't suggest them is I actually restore classic vehicles as a hobby and have found that such arms and alot of other pieces aren't nearly as durable as oem parts.
For example, a factory arm that was originally forged steel is only available from an aftermarket supplier in a cast poured version but is described as a piece that meets or exceeds oem specifications.

I'd go with the Ac Delco arm, I'm not an Ac Delco die hard man but their arm looks to be the best quality, without a visual inspection in person.

I always use Moog myself but the description says the arm is a Moog approved design, I don't feel it is made by Moog so I wouldn't buy that one.

If the other arm is the only arm that you like in your price range then go ahead and buy it, im sure it will serve it's purpose in being a control arm and improve your situation
