Help please with trany fluid escalade 2008

Hi everyone, i had escalade 2008 6.2 and i opened the TCM for repairs it with sonnax kits so after that i change the fluid and new filter was fixed. I add 5.7 liters to it but when i take the read when it cold it give me only half inch in the bottom and when it is hot it give me same so my question is any chance if i open the TCM and by removing the body valve the 6L80 transmission loss more oil than just change the fluid and filter without open the body valve and TCM??
Please help i found some articles say the empty trany take around 10 to 12 litres but now i don't know what to decide please advice thank u all in advance
