I just got a new (to me) GMC Yukon. It's a 2006 and has one of those crap generic factory radios in it. I came from a big ol ford truck with a nice radio, charged my phone and played Pandora, loads of fun. Well now I want to change out my stereo in my Yukon but lord help me, I will not pay someone $350 (not including the cost of the radio) just to get it done. It just worries me that I can't find any step by step tutorials online. What kind of equipment do I need? Do I need the wiring harness and I've found two different types. It has onstar equipped, which I'll never use. I just want a single deck stereo with the space underneath it to put my wallet and other stuff. I found all the stuff I think I'll need but I want to make sure before I go get everything that I will be able to by myself. I've put headlights in my truck before, I know how to splice wires and make sure they work right. I don't want to lose any of the cars chiming or anything.
