Did a tune up today. My security light keeps coming on while driving. Coincidence? Anyone recommend where I should start poking around? I have an aftermarket alarm with Autostart if that means anything. Thanks

I'll check them. Maybe I knocked something off, that last spark plug was a *%*!. Anywhere else I should look? Taking a trip for the weekend and I'm afraid ill get stranded.

Update: used auto start this mornin and no light was on until I opened and shut the hood (maybe coincidence?). Light was on for an hour drive until I turned off the Yukon and started it with the key, now no security light.

Did you open the hood again to see if it turned on the light like last time?

Yes. It didn't trigger. I just drove on the highway, and 30 min into my trip on the rain, security lit up again in the message center.

Update: rain stopped and all is well, no security light. Matter of fact, the problem started 2 hours after I had a car wash yesterday, not sure if its related to something getting wet?

Latest Update: my aftermarket alarm just went off for no reason. Must be a door pin/hood pin. Can someone tell me how to check them? Not sure what I'm looking for.
Thanks

At first thought, I would assume its the drivers door since its the one opened and closed the most. But to be sure, I would open and close each door a few times and check to see that the interior lights function as they're supposed to. Don't forget to check the cargo door also. It's not as easy as pushing the door pins because they're built into the door latches.

Tried this with all the doors, cargo door, hood. No security light, dome lights worked fine.... This is driving me nuts because it is so random. Now I have to worry about my alarm randomly triggering and annoying the neighbors if I'm not home to shut it...... On top of this, I hooked up my scanner and no codes are being thrown.
