About two years ago I dropped my 03 yuke 2/3 with a belltech kit. Springs and shocks in the rear and torsion keys and shocks in the front. It rode fine afterwards. Two months after that I bought some 22" KMC Slides and Achilles 295/45R22 tires and that's when it all started. Since then I have put hub centric rings on, had the tires ground force balanced twice and replaced the u-joints. All the front suspension parts are tight, new rotors, etc... I had the second ground force balance today and watched him do it, nothing is way out of whack with the tires or rims.
What baffles me is why sometimes the vibration comes and goes. I left the shop today and at 45 mph the steering wheel was shaking back and fourth, still tracking straight, not pulling to one side or the other. Shortly after it smooths out and is fine all the way up to 65 and then starts to shake pretty bad. Under braking it doesn't shake.
I noticed today while cruising at 50 it was fine until I hit a bump, then it started again. My question is, would the belltech shocks be causing this? Anyone that has any experience with this please chime in.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to end up replacing the tires, but that's easily 800.00 bucks that I don't have at the moment.
