I just bought a used 07 Tahoe and LOVE it.... The battery had problems from the get go so I replaced it. no biggie...

The thing that is bothering me though, is that, even with the engine off the CD player sounds as if it is still active. Almost as if searching for cd. I tried cleaner with head cleaner and compressed air. I do have the navigation system as well.... I'm also beginning to wonder if the trouble with the previous dead battery was that it was being drained by the player.

Is this noise normal? If not what can I do to fix it?

well

i have an 09, it is reading / playing with the NAV dvd behind the screen...

it is stupid because the vehicle is OFF, so there is NO point in the WORLD for it to be reading the NAV DVD, but it is what it is...

so... it's normal.
